This week is all about the arts..

Tomorrow night sees the opening of The W Project. To mark the 100th anniversary of World Womens Day, the w project celebrates women working across the creative industries. So many women are involved in this 3 day exhibition, it is definitely worth getting yourself down!!

And then on Thursday, an old school friend Jonathan Darby descends on Signal Gallery. Jonny's work is ridiculous and if it doesn't move you, then you have no soul. I'm really excited to see his new stuff. It'd be a shame to miss the work of this young great artist!!!

(God I'm old) I have thought that Elliott Yamin's version of Moody's Mood For Love was the best vocal performance ever on an Idol stage. On Wednesday last week I went into Surgery PR for a Kilping breakfast. It was actually a really good idea. They invited a few bloggers, journalists and stylist down and we got to preview the new Peter Pilotto X Kipling range. I was sad to hear that it will be the last range from what, in my opinion, was such a successful collaboration. The final pieces are sick though!! I really liked these two pieces in particular...

This multi coloured DJ trolley is sick! I think it'd make a good mini break suitcase too.. Definite wish list item.. The colour and the print just make me want to go on holiday. Now.
And this bag too caught my eye. Not only is it huge with a really interesting shape, its also sporting a really cool Pilotto print.

It would be amazing for them to carry on with this collaboration but as they aren't, whoever they pick has really big shoes to fill. The last two seasons has really rekindled the love I had for the brand back in primary school.

Oh, managed to pick up a new keyring that day too. Thanks!

Get yourself to the Haggerston to preview the new series by Vice "Teenage Riots". Look like its going to be pretty damn good and if it aint, you can ask presenter Alex Miller exactly what went wrong. To me it has the makings of something profound. The anti fee riots made such a huge statement, if not to politicians then to each other. Its nice to know that we actually do give a shit collectively about what happens. It all kicks off at 8pm.

Get yourself down to the alibi from 9pm for some more FAMILY JEWELS mayhem. Expect a hangover from hell on Friday morning but its all worth it when you slowly, over the weekend, are able to piece back together, bit by bit, the debauchery of Thursday night. If you want to avoid the queues, I suggest you get there early.

I've been slacking on the blogging recently... partly because;

A)
The Australian Open started 2 weeks ago and so my sleep patterns are all fucked up. With tennis being on from midnight to 1pm, I cant sleep during those hours.. at least not willingly. Bonus of being awake at those ungodly hours however, is that my best mate Newcastle who is living in Perth gets two weeks of the year off from calling me at his ungodly hours :) Love you newcastle.

I moved into my new work studio on Monday this week with my older brother and his amazing girlfriend Katy.. although its mainly me and Kate as Eddie is never around.. ha!

This Christmas has been the bang bang.. Spent it with my mums side of the family, eating and drinking and generally being grateful that we have each other. It's been one of the best yet! Spent Christmas day at my mums, working myself into a food coma, then boxing day at my aunts doing exactly the same thing and finally on the 27th we spent it at my mums boyfriends eating and playing black jack.

Today I plan on eating fruits and cola gammon in an attempt to get my belly back down to its 4month pregnant look rather than this 6 month bulge I have acquired.

Hope all your christmas' were as good as mine :)

Last week was definitely a really stressful week but also a really fun week too... I've been shooting quite a few music videos recently and the one I shot on Monday and Tuesday has definitely been one of my most enjoyable by far! Half the video uses puppets which were specially made to be a spoof of the act... watching them perform just gave me (as ZedTasty would say) "Life". It was a real pleasure working with Jamie & Aaron, and I'm sure I will work with them again soon... Thought I'd show you all an image of the puppets in the monitor.

Tomorrow is the Christopher Kane sample sale... With the way his tee's flew off the handles at Topshop, I am sure the same will happen at the sample sale tomorrow. The sale is open for one day only @ 28 Redchurch Street, E2 7DP.. Sale starts at 12 and ends at 8!!

I was just thinking, I havent really written much recently. It seems as though I tend to rely on the pictures I post on here or on my tumblr to do the talking for me, rather than relying on words themselves.

So, I think I will babble for a little bit. In the past two weeks I have been a stylist, an educator, a stylist assistant, a dresser, a friend, a big sister, a carer and a day-dreaming philanthropist to name a few. I dont think I would have been able to do all that had I had a suit job.. nah, of course I wouldnt. I think with my 25th (BLOODY SCARY) appropraching, I have a tendancy to look back at what I've done in the past year and question whether or not it is enough. I think we all do that though. My friend JACC said its common, and then she went on to tell me wonderful things about myself which Iwasnt able to see because I was so caught up in my own head & my own judgement.

Anyway, the be all and end all of this rant, is that I'm going to be turning 25 a happy woman. There is so much I am yet to achieve and accomplish but what I've done so far I feel content with.

A lot of videos/songs etc have been released from up and coming UK talent that I actually get excited over..

Jessie J's "Do It Like A Dude" video got released today. Her voice is hard, no-one can say otherwise. I kinda like the concept of the video and the make-up, not so much the styling, movement (expect blonde crunker) and facial expressions... That said, its her first innings so whatevs. This song will be stuck in my head though. I think it'll be a guilty pleasure for a while.

Professor Green released his new video today featuring Maverick Saber... I dont think I'm a fan of the song but I LOVE Saber's voice!!!!

I just adore Devlin, maybe its his salt and pepper hair or his cockney swaggger or simply the fact that hes just such a nice guy... This song runaway featuring Yasmin is just a beautifully pretty song to listen to.

Really enjoying this whole tales from a crackberry thing.. so the last few days have been a bit mental but good mental not bad...

It was Bounty's first birthday on Friday.. do you love their birthday cake?? haha! It was a really good night with lots of fun vibes.. My girl Clara came out and I aint seen her in time!! I was really proud of Ryan, Rada, Daren and Josey.. their year of hard work really paid off on the night!

This week I had to say goodbye to one of my closest friends... Sophie is off to live in Australia. I should be really happy for her, which I am but I am also kinda bummed as I dont want her to leave. It does however mean that now with both Soph and Newcastle living in Oz, I am going t0 have to make the trip out soon.

It's very different from the hackney warehouse as its massive!!! Its always nice to see so many friendly faces in one room but for me last night was definitely all about the music. I went to the Boiler Room on Tuesday night... It was actually really good to forget about all the craziness that was happening in my life at the time and just chill out for a couple hours. It was also nice to see friendly faces galore!

I think Phantom have stolen my heart.. I absolutely love this band!!! Check out the video below of their performance. SICK!

So the past few days have been pretty dapper. I always feel really lucky to have the people that I have in my life. Its weird to think how they we might not always play these roles in eachothers lives but for while it lasts, its the bang bang!

Anyway, so I've spent the week surrounded by love. Like drowning in it. But I think I needed it. I was having a bb chat with Ollie O the other day about feeling flat and all that jazz and I think all those around me could see it even without me saying it. Anyway, I'm not feeling flat no more :) I'm actually feeling really inspired.. even if a bit hungover. Ha!

Caught too much joke with Kusi, Swanzy, Naz and Eman on Tuesday night at the PUMA thing. It was actually a lot of fun and invovled a lot of really good canapes and red wine.. until it ran out.. but I think that by then I shouldav stopped drinking anyway. Oh, they had a really fun photo booth... WE ALL GOT CARRIED AWAY!

Fun times were had.. Anyway... I had to finish off the order for Beyond The Valley, so have been spending a lot of my time at my friend Nathan's house trying to cut everything out... BORE!!! The only reason I'm mentioning this is because the cutest image of him was printed in this months W magazine... Aint it cute???

Back to my "feeling lucky" speech.. I spent the best two days with the hubby this week. I swear everyone should have a best mate like Gav! On night one Eman joined us for dinner and on night two, we skipped the dinner for red wine and grolsch and Eman for Harry & Chris. Both nights were memorable!

Quite a while back I did a post on a film Palladium Boots released on London Pirate Radio.. Well they are back with a new video, this time focusing on Detroit. The film is really interesting and worth all 10minutes of your time. A few members of my family live in Detroit and its good to see a short that actually highlights the good positive points of the city rather than concentrating on its decrepit exterior.... (Hmmm... maybe I could go live there for 4 months and see what happens)

Thursday to Sunday has been a goodun... On Thursday I got to hang out with my girl Sophie, who is emigrating to Australia in 3 weeks :( Keeping us company was Luca, the most beautiful diva you've ever met, ever.

Thursday was also Joby & Santa's birthday party at Alibi... won't go into much of that as I was wasted BUT I did play a pretty decent set at the end which got me well excited, until I made a twat out of myself at Efe's and had to crash in Dom's bed.. drunk times... Due to Thursdays antics, Friday was a total wash out :(

On Saturday, I went with the ladies (Grace, Rada, Josey, Sunna, Chalin and Karen (&Moxie &Ry)) to see Rodigan at Cable.... I dont think I can describe my love for this man. Seriously, If I ever get married, he has to play at my wedding!

Catching the 149 back from South with Grace was a perfect ending to a lovely night..

And then on Sunday we had the X-Factor disaster that is Cheryl Cole... wow! did twitter blow up or what??? It was highly entertaining, having one eye on the TV and the other on twitter.. hahaha! Katie should never have got through. End of. I'm team Simon this year! #Xfactor

Anyway, its a grey monday morning, got my coffee, had me fag and now its time to werk!

I'm a huge fan of the Peter Pilotto X Kipling range (its kinda cute how each bag has its own little interpretation of the kipling monkey)... I think I prefer the prints on accessories rather than clothes, they seem to make a bigger statement that way.... Anyway, it seems I'm starting to get a bit of a collection, although I'm not sure my other bags are excited about being neglected! ha!
